Customer Onboarding Policy
Eligibility, identity checks, fair review, and account access requirements for TuriPay customers.
This policy sets required company standards. A product may be offered only when its applicable controls and provider arrangements are in place. It does not replace product-specific agreements or mandatory legal rights.
Purpose and eligibility
Turi Ventures LLC requires proportionate checks before a customer can access a controlled TuriPay service. Individual account applicants must be at least 18 and able to enter the relevant agreement, unless a separately approved product expressly provides otherwise. Country, residency, product, and provider restrictions also apply. Access to the website or creation of a profile does not establish eligibility for every financial product.
Information requested
Individuals may be asked for legal name, date of birth, residential address, contact details, nationality or residency information, and suitable identification. A product may require a government identifier, proof of address, identity-document images, or a verification check, where lawful and necessary. Information about expected use and source of funds may be requested according to risk. The company must explain material requirements and collect information through an approved channel.
Business relationships
Where business services are offered, review must establish the entity’s legal name, formation jurisdiction, registration information, operating address, business activity, authorized representatives, and ownership and control. Relevant corporate records and evidence of authority must be checked. The company must identify beneficial owners and controlling persons to the extent required by risk, applicable rules, and the responsible provider’s requirements.
Verification and screening
Checks may use reliable documents, trusted electronic sources, provider verification, and reasonable corroboration. Screening must consider relevant sanctions and risk indicators; potential matches must be assessed using additional identifying information. Automated output must not be treated as conclusive merely because it reports a match. Material discrepancies, suspected impersonation, or unexplained inconsistencies require review before the affected product is activated.
Enhanced due diligence and decisions
Higher-risk cases require additional evidence, documented assessment, and appropriate approval. Decisions may be approved, pending further information, restricted to eligible functions, or declined. An applicant must not evade restrictions through duplicate accounts, another person’s identity, a false address, or location-masking used to misrepresent eligibility. The company must consider reliable corrections and relevant explanations rather than treating every data mismatch as misconduct.
Provider onboarding and product consent
TuriPay verification and a provider’s product approval are separate decisions. Passing an internal check does not guarantee issuance of a card or another provider service. Provider-specific onboarding must follow the relevant product request, disclosures, and required consent. The responsible provider may require additional information or decline access. Verification approval alone must not create an unrequested paid product or provider account.
Access before completion and ongoing review
Unverified or pending applicants may only access features expressly permitted for their status. Controlled transactions must remain unavailable until their required checks and approvals are complete. Customers must keep material information current. Changes in identity, ownership, country, expected activity, or risk may trigger an update or renewed review; restrictions must be proportionate and handled under the applicable terms.
Privacy, fairness, and corrections
Identity evidence must be limited to a legitimate purpose, protected against unauthorized access, shared only with appropriate recipients, and retained under an applicable schedule. Applicants must be informed of any required biometric processing and applicable choices before collection. Sensitive documents must not be sent to a general support inbox. A customer may request correction or reconsideration through support, subject to lawful confidentiality and fraud-prevention restrictions.
Contact and oversight
For help with verification, contact support@turipay.com with the subject “Onboarding review,” or use in-app support when available. Provide your account reference and a description of the issue, not a password, code, or full identity document. Management must assign an owner for this process, review outcomes for recurring problems, and review this policy at least annually.
